2016 Zinfandel Famighetti Vineyards

Across Sonoma County, 2016 was mostly an evenly ripening year with a more normal crop size across the board.  At Famighetti Vineyards, the Zinfandel grows in a terraced amphitheater-style block and this vintage produced ripe, expressive flavors.
The Winemaking: Zinfandel winemaking from Famighetti Vineyards is all about showcasing the lush berry flavors and aromas of the fruit, while equally expressing the savory characteristics that this mountain fruit offers.
Winemakers Comments:  Vivid black cherry and blackberry pie lead the way aromatically, leading to chocolate and toasty, vanilla details.  On the palate the flavors are rich with brambly red fruit and rich mouthfeel.
