2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Canyon Vineyard

Winemaker’s Notes:
Classic Napa Cabernet from an incredible hillside estate.  Our label says Sage Canyon, and the estate wines that are made from this vineyard (under another label name) go for double the price.  Access to a vineyard of this exclusivity only happens every so often and because the right friends helped open the door. We are excited to let you in on this great wine too, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!  Cannonball!

Tasting Notes:
This dark Cabernet packs an incredibly complex nose of crushed blackberries, savory hardwood charcoal, and wild fennel.  The expansive mouthfeel sports soft and well-rounded tannins.  Finishing with cocoa nib and licorice. 

The Vintage:
2017 started with above average rainfall.  Then, a warm and dry summer punctuated by heat waves rolled into a harvest that made for beautiful wines when picked at exactly the right moment.
