2019 Chardonnay, Oregon

Winemaker’s Notes: Swift and gentle handling from grape to bottle helps preserve the freshness and complexity in this wine. After harvesting in the early morning I loaded up the flatbed truck, made the drive back in to California, and immediately pressed the grapes. Fermentation in carefully selected new and used barrels helps accentuate a creamy mouthfeel that plays nicely with the bright fruits of the wine.

The Vintage: 2019 in Southern Oregon was beautiful and temperate for most of the growing season. September cool weather and rains made for an exciting run up to harvest. By mid-October, the vineyard dried out and warmed, making a perfect picking window.
