"The 2019 Merlot Beckstoffer Vineyards Orchard Ranch—from a site in Oak Knoll—is a large-scaled, slightly warm wine, with assertive notes of black cherries, mocha, cedar and vanilla on the nose. Full-bodied, rounded and ripe, it's rich and velvety on the palate, the sort of plushly tannic red wine you might pair with grilled steak or something a bit more refined, like a roast prime rib."
