2023 Viognier, The Harris Estate
Winemaking note: Growing Viognier 1000 feet above the Dry Creek Valley floor creates clusters that are small, intense, and highly aromatic. In the winery, we unlock the potential of those aromas and bolster them with judicious use of oak and lees contact.
Tasting note: Freshly cut tropical fruits sing in the glass. Roasted pineapple, fresh lychee and ripe peach glide through a rich mouthfeel. Framed by medium acidity and a toasty coconut finish, this wine is a stunner!
2021 Zinfandel, The Harris Estate
Winemaking note: The Harris Estate sits almost 1,000 feet above the Dry Creek Valley floor, and these Zinfandel vines grow in an amphitheater-shaped terraced hillside. The hillside conditions at elevation are stressful to the grapes, but that struggle brings intensity of flavor and color.
Tasting note: Wild raspberry, dark chocolate, and fresh cracked black pepper lead the aromas and flavor. Medium tannins and a fresh acidity help support the massive red fruits, while savory details of earth and spice add richness and complexity.
