2019 Late Harvest Petite Sirah Bacigalupi Vineyard 500ml

Tasting Notes

Black and inky with loads of spicy anise, clove, caramel, and raspberry cream. The mouthfeel is weighty and balanced with a toffee finish.

Winemaking Notes

Bacigalupi Vineyard in Russian River Valley is best known for its Pinot and Chardonnay, but also makes a fantastic Petite Sirah, perfect for late harvest fortification. When the fermentation is about half-way complete, clear high proof brandy is added to stop it.  What remains is a delicious nectar of extracted Petite Sirah with all the remaining sugar, and a large dose of alcohol -- perfectly balanced.
